The problem we got tired of
Search for any image tool and you get the same choreography: upload your file to an unknown server, wait in a queue, get three free conversions before a paywall appears, and hope nobody is storing your passport photo in somebody's temp folder. Meanwhile the hardware in your pocket or laptop is more than powerful enough to do the job locally in a second — browsers gained real image codecs years ago and almost nobody used them to build open, free tools.
What we built instead
220 small programs, zero servers in the loop. Each tool page loads a processing engine built on HTML5 Canvas, WebAssembly codecs and the browser's own encoders. Files open, transform and save entirely on your device. That single architectural choice delivers everything the old model makes you pay or wait for:
- Speed — no upload, so a 10MB image finishes as fast as a 100KB one; a typical photo converts in well under a second.
- Privacy you can verify — watch the network tab: nothing leaves your machine but the page itself. Confidential documents are safe here.
- Freedom from meters — no credits and no file-size caps because there is no conversion farm to fund.
- Bulk that behaves — 30 files per batch with a single ZIP download, because nobody converts one image at a time in real work.
What’s in the toolbox
The complete directory covers four families. Conversion: 89 dedicated converters across PNG, WebP, JPG, AVIF, GIF, BMP, TIFF, ICO, HEIC, HEIF and SVG. Compression: quality control plus exact KB-target tools (30KB to 2MB) for inflexible upload portals. Editing: background removal, resizing, crop & rotate, mirror & flip, inversion and filters. How the site makes money (so you can trust the "free")
Plainly: browser-based tools cost almost nothing to serve, so the free tier is not a bait — it is the whole product. We may show unobtrusive advertising and we never sell data because we never collect any. If that model changes, this page is where you will read about it first.
